Tomasz Twardowski is a professor of biology and biotechnology at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences (Poland, 61-704 Poznan, Noskowski 12).
He is an expert in mechanism of protein biosynthesis regulation in plant system and heavily engaged in the legal and social aspects of modern biotechnology in Poland and Europe. Currently he is a chairman of Biotechnology Committee
Polish Academy of Sciences. In the past he was a founder and Editor-in-Chief (for over 20 years) the only Polish journal “Biotechnologia” and president of Polish Federation of Biotechnology. He was also a delegate of Poland to Carthagena Protocol and Biotechnology Section of OECD. He is author/co-author/editor of more than 20 books and 100 review papers [mostly in Polish] dedicated to the legal and social problems of modern biotech and over 70 research [experimental] papers dedicated to protein biosynthesis.
