Andreani D. Odysseos is a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Medical School. She had her clinical, graduate and post-doctoral training at Yale University Medical School, Mount Auburn Hospital, Dept. of Internal Medicine/Harvard Medical School and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Department of Tumor Immunology/ Harvard Medical School, respectively. She joined the Fred-Hutchinson Cancer Research Center /Department of Clinical Research- Special Fellowship Program in Bone Marrow Transplantation.

She has worked at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics as an Honorary Senior Research Scientist, establishing the first program of Functional Oncogenomics and Novel Therapeutics in Cyprus. She is currently the Scientific and Medical Advisor at the Cyprus Paraskevaidion Bone Marrow Donor Registry and Transplant Center, a Special Scientist at the University of Cyprus and the Director of Biomedical Research of EPOS-Iasis, a Cyprus-based Research and Development organization. Her research activities involve the application of Functional Oncogenomics/Oncoproteomics and Molecular Imaging for diagnostic and therapeutic applications in inflammatory and malignant diseases. She has published extensively and her contribution to the Education and Training of young scientists has been rewarded by her election as an Honorary Member of the International Academy for Medical Education (IAMED). She has served at the Steering Committees of the Genetics and Cancer Research Forum of the European Commission and has been a member of the High Level Scientific Advisory Group for Thematic Priority 1 in FP6 and is currently a scientific Expert for FP7.  She has been a co-founder and Vice-Chairperson of the interim Board of the Section on Medicines Development of European Federation of Biotechnology. As of June 1st 2008, she is the Chairperson of SMD-EFB.
