Dr. Carmen Vela is manager director at INGENASA, a small biotechnology company based in Madrid (Spain) devoted to the animal health. She is a biochemist with 25 years of experience in Immunology, Virology and related fields.
Author of numerous publications and patents granted in EU and US, she was a member of the Second European Science and Technology Assembly (ESTA), the ETAN Group of Women and Science, the EAG of Cell Factory and co-author of the WIR report.
She was also member of the Advisor Committee of the Spanish Minister of Science and Technology and currently of the Advisory Group of Human Mobility , Priority I, and the recently established Sounding Group at EU.
